Please Read Before Ordering: Occasionally a box of records or CDs will get banged up while being shipped between the pressing plant & our office so we stick them on a shelf as un-sellable. Typically the damage is minor, like a small crumple on a record cover corner or a small crack in a CD jewel case. Then there's cases where things are accidentally dropped or damaged around the warehouse… Another situation we encounter are simply the effects of time, for example, we have original pressing plant boxes of sealed LPs that were pressed in the early 90s and sat in storage for the last 35 years and in those days the shrinkwrap was applied tightly with no breather holes so there has been slight plating of the records (like a very slight bowl shaped warp). They records don't skip but they're not perfectly flat… and it's a shame because those also wound up on the un-sellable shelf. Blue Nouveaux's Darkness In Me LP is a perfect example; it's an extremely popular album overseas and fans have been looking for sealed copies for decades but we haven't listed them for sale and it's a shame.
Since we moved offices a few months back we've been doing some thorough inventory and reorganizing and decided to gather a bunch of the aforementioned items and list them here on a dedicated “discount” page for people who care more about the music than the physical presentation, and some of these items are fairly collectible since they're all that's left of previously sold out releases (such as the Doctrine Of Mayhem and Dick Urine cassettes and the Northwinds LPs).
In cases where the damage is similar (such as the Always Was LPs) and all damaged albums only have a small ding in one corner, we didn't bother taking photos of every single LP, we just took photos of one or two that show the extent. Blood Orange Records first release - Live at the Rat 1980 - hand numbered by Nico & Lamy. Unplayed, with original inserts. This record sold out in 2019 and was replaced by the currently available version (which has a different jacket, different labels, different insert and even a different mix). These are the absolute last of the first pressing that will be available. USPS dropped a box of records that was being delivered to a store and caused a decent bend to one corner of the record cover. The records themselves are still mint. They've been sitting at BOR for almost 7 years. We have 10 available at the time of this listing - all have a similar bend so we didn't take photos of every record, just one so you can see what the bend looks like.

Unplayed and mint except for slight plating from 35 years in the original shrinkwrap. In 1990 some pressing plants used a tight thin shrinkwrap process and cardboard covers which was perfectly fine as long as you didn't store the records in the basement for 35 years during which the wrap tightened and caused slight plating to the vinyl (the record is not perfectly flat but it plays without skips) This the last of the original pressing inventory. A wildly popular album overseas, get yourself a sealed original pressing for a stupid low discounted price!

Sealed, unplayed original first pressing cassette. DISCOUNTED! One has a distributor price stickers on the shrinkwrap and the rest only have torn shrinkwrap but no cracks. A classic dark album... In the late 1980's Larry Evilelf met up with European talent brokers Euramerican Link in the persona of Msr.Phillipe Beau who introduced him to Celia Hemken and her current band GG Goose. Larry pushed the act on label head Peter Yarmouth. Hemken and her band from the Finsbury Park section of London won Peter over. Yarmouth suggested they change the band name. In 1990 Black & Blue released it's first international act Blue Nouveaux. In 1992 Celia came to the US to support the release with an all American band. Celia ended up settling in LA and is process of releasing a new CD with the American version of Blue Nouveaux in 2008. While this debut album has a significantly different sound than the current outfit Hemken's artistic approach remains as the artistic driver. Celia states: Before I signed with Black and Blue records I had played classical flute with the Richard Hickox orchestra, recorded a John Peel session for UK Radio One and co-founded a theatre company.
